Quistory in your Neighborhood: Northern England

The UK celebrates LGBT History Month in February, so I went to check it out. Between speaking at three locations in Manchester and Leeds, I got to see so many LGBT history sites and projects. Here are the photos and videos from Quist’s February 2015 England trip.

First stop: The village of Wilmslow, outside of Manchester, to see Alan Turing’s house. Photos are here.

Then the 3-day LGBT History Festival in Manchester. A world first to my knowledge. It was incredibly engaging and interactive, just the way Quist loves history to be!

I also visited York and Leeds. Here’s a quick message from the leader of the LGBTQ student group at the University of York:

I hope to go back every February for more events like this!
